Ulva
House was built in 1854 at a time when Tobermory was still
developing as a small fishing village. A prime location
with the best possible views was chosen for the new
dwelling. Located in what is now the conservation area of
upper Tobermory, Ulva House stands in its own extensive
grounds laid mostly to lawn. There are many protected
trees, horse chestnut, birch, larch, copper beech and a
monkey puzzle tree. |

The Isle of Mull has
always been known as a special place amongst our regular visitors,
who come to enjoy its breathtaking beauty, from soaring, craggy
sea cliffs with the crashing waves of the Atlantic at their feet
to sweeping, heather covered hills where golden eagles sweep down
on their prey.
Every bend in the
narrow roads opens up a whole new vista and the chance to see
otters playing on the shore, a minke whale hunting in the sea or
even a dozen Highland cattle strolling across the road in front of
you! Whatever the weather, rain or shine, crystal clear or misty
and mysterious, every journey on the Isle of Mull is an
unforgettable experience.
And at the end of the
day, the seafront and village of Tobermory, with its many good
restaurants, shops, pubs and amenities, is within a few minutes
walk of Ulva House.
